Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf has its roots in Brentwood, California in 1963. Introduced in Singapore only in the 90s, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf has already established itself as the place to be, not only when it comes to having coffee, but also tea as well.
Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is fast becoming a coffee haunt for yuppies and teenagers alike. In fact, almost everyone frequents its outlets. The easy-going, relaxed atmosphere is the main attraction of the outlets, and its mainstream appeal helps pull in coffee and non-coffee lovers who are usually put off by the snobbish outlook of other gourmet coffee outlets.
The chain's bestseller is most definitely the Original Ice Blended Mocha with a generous helping of fresh whipped cream. For the non-coffee drinkers, there are favourites like the Sunrise Ice Blended among other non-coffee selections to choose from.
To date, there are six branches to be found in Singapore. These are at the Scotts Shopping Centre Atrium, Holland Village, Wisma Atria, Choa Chu Kang Shopping Mall, International Plaza and Boat Quay. Four more branches are expected to be in operation by the end of 1997, and these branches will be located at Tiong Bahru Plaza, Tower Record Suntec City, Bugis Junction and Cineleisure Orchard.
