Coffee Company of San Francisco was created in September, 1983, from Christopher Calkin's and Arnold Spinelli's ideas about fine coffees and customer service. It selects on the finest Arabiaca coffee beans and carefully roast them to bring out their fullest flavour. The blends are created with specific characteristics to please the most discriminating tastes. Since its first opening in Singapore at Amara Shopping Centre, Spinelli has been enjoying popularity amongst the new generation and yuppies who will usually visit after a long day of work. Iced coffee drinks, such
as Spinelli's "Spins", are among the few hot favourite drinks here in Singapore. Spinelli Coffee Company has been licensed by Equinox for expansion into Southeast Asia. It brings to Asia the years of experience in sourcing, producing, and selling premium coffee drinks and whole bean coffee, which have contributed to making coffee the number one hot beverage in the U.S. Seven outlets are slated to open in Singapore's central business district by fall of 1997, with up to forty locations targeted for the region by the year 2000. Besides the outlet in Amara Shopping Center, there are also other outlets at The
Heeren, Bugis Junction, Change Alley, Robinson Point, and one that has recently opened at Golden
